CHILDREN
Several recent studies have shown that children who learn an instrument also show increased intelligence and greater concentration. Music is a social activity and the ability to play will open doors to meet people and make new friends throughout your child’s life. The ability to express yourself through music develops as children grow older and music often provides an outlet and focus through teenage years and later life.

Often people come to us wanting to take up again an instrument they learnt as a child but had to stop when the pressure of job, family and so on took over. With the right tuition you’ll be surprised how quickly it’ll all come back to you. TRIAL
LESSON
The best way to understand Melodica's approach towards Music Education is to book in to a Trial Lesson. This introductory lesson allows you to meet our teachers and experience a class in action. The trial classes are 15 mins in duration and at a price of 50 aed. Please feel free and contact 04-3743434 for trial class, it's never too late.

LESSONS
Private lessons provide the most direct and personal approach to learning an instrument. From absolute beginners through to seasoned players, Private lessons support our students in their desired instrument and style, whilst still providing the full knowledge and input necessary to make you a complete player.
GROUP
LESSONS
Melodica group classes are tons of fun. You will practice with students who have the same ambitions as you. Learning in a group format adds a social side to learning that does not exist in a private one-to-one consultation. Learning in a group format allows for ideas to bounce off from fellow students.

STUDENTS
CONCERT
A student concert is organised each year either our Christmas concert or our end of year concert, which is held in June each year. It provides students with an opportunity to gain experience and confidence in performance. Students are encouraged to participate. This goes to prove that all the participants will work hard in preparing for the concert, even though it meant missing out classes and staying after school. The big audience will support their fellow classmates, as they perform their wonderfully prepared acts. The musical concert is a fabulous way to end the school day, with laughter and joy!
EXAMS & CERTIFICATE
ABRSM -TRINITY - RAD
We are an exam center of ABRSM and TRINITY GUILDHALL and whether you decide to go through the ABRSM, TRINITY or American Ballet Theater (ABT) curriculum both offer an internationally recognised certificate. This can often help with university applications, as it is evidence of extra curriculum achievements. Whilst we encourage students to keep to the same teacher as much as possible, since we do understand life changes and this can’t always be possible. If you are following a curriculum and have achieved levels, new teachers can easily pick up where the last one left off.
STUDENTS
BAND & CHORUS
Who knows the basics on their instrument can, essentially start playing in melodica band – ideally with an experienced teacher who can offer guidance. Melodica Band Program is the place to learn this. In this class, you practice songs with other melodica students on a weekly basis, rehearsing them until you can take them to the concert stage. Once you hit that point, we will set you up with great gigs – your fans are already waiting!

TIM SULLIVAN | HEAD OF MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Tim Sullivan was born and raised in New York City, USA. At the age of five he began his music studies and soon enrolled in the preparatory division at the Mannes College of Music, later continuing with their college program. He graduated Mannes with a Bachelor of Music degree, majoring in classical piano performance.
After many years as a piano teacher in New York city and concerts as soloist, chamber musician and, as the winner of several competitions, concerto performances with New York City area orchestras, Tim went on to a successful career as a pianist/vocalist in various venues in the United States and several cruise lines. As an entertainer, Tim covers pop, rock, jazz, standards and Broadway styles.
Tim has recently returned to his teaching profession, now working and residing in the Dubai, UAE.
PEGY RASTEGAR | DIRECTOR
Pegy Rastegar was born in February 1984 in Shiraz.
At the age of 7 Pegy migrated with her family to Rotterdam/Netherlands.
She graduated from Rotterdam University in Holland with a Bachelor's Degree of International Business Management, majoring in Marketing.
After her graduation Pegy moved to Dubai and Joined Melodica Music & Dance Institute family in September 2013.

With millions of fans around the world and many concerts worldwide in the past 15 years, Afshin is no doubt one of the most successful singer and songwriter in the Middle East.
Afshin was born on 1978 in Persian. At a young age Afshin migrated with his family to Germany to continue his musical career. In 1999 Afshin released his first album (Scent of Rain) in Los Angeles and started his professional career.
Live concerts became a major part of Afshin's career, as audiences went stark raving crazy. Afshin played with his live band A-Team Worldwide multiple times in: USA, Canada, Australian, UAE, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Canada, France, Italy, New Zealand, Turkey, Armenia, Swiss, Tajikistan, Georgia and of course Germany.
Touring around the globe, Afshin has met many people who were interested in music. He always wished to open his own music institute one day. He dreamed of having all music fanatics from all nationalities under one roof. After realizing this wish, he left the cold in Germany and moved to wonderful warmth of Dubai in 2013. With the help of A-Team and KHDA approval, Melodica Music and Dance institute was inaugurated.
Melodica has become a major part of Afshin’s professional singing life. He has moved closer to realization of his dream with the most professional and artistic institute in Dubai.
